Apprentice
Target: $35K (designed to be ~75% AR workforce-program reimbursed)
Hands-on field role. Class B Worker-Owner seat. Most Apprentice wages are designed to be reimbursed by Arkansas workforce programs.
The right person
Someone good with their hands and curious about robotics, who's tired of dead-end hourly work. High-school graduates, career-changers, vets, and students from partner schools all fit. No prior robotics experience required — that's the point.
What this seat actually owns
- Paid from day one as a Class B Worker-Owner seat (planned).
- Works inside a Pod: fleet checks, route deployment, telemetry triage, customer touchpoints.
- Cycles through every skill block — maintenance, telemetry, customer ops, route economics, basic OS admin — over the first 12 months.
- Earns patronage by ledger formula, not by manager discretion.
- Acts as first-line collector for the planned Urban Recovery Mining program (end-of-life battery recovery).
The rhythm
- 130-min morning huddle and fleet check.
- 23 hours in the field: perimeters, deployment, exception handling.
- 31 hour customer-facing — the half of the trade the robots can't do.
- 41 hour scheduled skill block (rotates daily).
- 530-min close-out; OS posts hours and patronage credit automatically.
Where this seat can grow
Apprentice is the on-ramp the whole cooperative is built around. The planned progression is Apprentice → Runner → Privateer → Hub Lead, with each step on a published competency checklist.
