Flex Workforce
Benton County, AR — Phase 1
Pre-launch · documenting interest

Work between shifts.

If your schedule isn't 9-to-5, the cooperative was built for you. Grab a task, a one-off mow, or a full route — on your terms, between your shifts, on your way to your day job.

Privateers, Runners, and Apprentices don't have to start full-time. Most off-duty workers in Phase 1 are designed to start at 4–10 hours a week (target, illustrative). Scale up only if and when it makes sense for you.

Who this is for

Built for the people who keep the city running.

Benton County doesn't function on 9-to-5 schedules alone. Neither does the cooperative. We're starting with the workforce that already knows how to run on rotation.

Firefighter

Featured first
Bentonville · Rogers · Lowell · Centerton · Pea Ridge · Siloam Springs · Bella Vista FDs

On the standard 24-on / 48-off rotation, you have ~20 working days a month free. A Pod can plug straight into your off-days — and a 2-firefighter crew could in theory share one route between them.

Police / Sheriff's Deputy

Benton County Sheriff · city PDs

12-hour rotations leave half the calendar open. Cover one yard run between shifts; pick up an extra during your off-rotation week.

Paramedic / EMT

Mercy · Northwest Health · Air-Evac

Shift-block schedules pair cleanly with route-based work. Tasks are designed to slot into the gap between calls and your next set.

Veteran

VA-eligible · Apprenticeship-credit posture

Flexible re-entry into civilian work. AR apprenticeship-credit posture is designed to stack with VA benefits where applicable. Arkansas; other states reprice at expansion.

Uber / Lyft driver

Already routing yourself

You're already navigating between gigs. A one-off mow on the way is designed to add $60–$120 (target, illustrative) without breaking your loop.

DoorDash / Instacart driver

Grocery + delivery gig workers

Same logic. The dispatch app is built to surface tasks within minutes of where you already are.

And anyone with a non-trivial schedule — nurses, teachers (summer), construction, hospitality, contractors. If your week has a gap, we're designed to fit a route into it.

How it works

Three steps. No quitting your day job required.

1
Grab a task

Tasks pop in the dispatch app — one-off mows, fleet swaps, charging-rack runs, customer onboarding visits. Most are designed to be ≤45 minutes.

2
Run it on your way

The dispatch logic is built to surface tasks on a route you're already driving. Between your firehouse and home. Between your last Uber drop and dinner.

3
Get paid

1099 (Privateer) or W-2 (Apprentice/Runner) with hours logged from the app. Settlement follows the cooperative's standard split matrix.

Deep dive · Benton County

The Firefighter playbook.

Most Benton County fire departments run a 24-on / 48-off rotation. That's a calendar most civilian businesses can't schedule around — but it happens to be the exact shape this work wants. The cooperative is designed around your rotation, not against it.

The math

~16 off-days a month.

On a 24/48, a single firefighter has roughly 16 off-days per month available. Two firefighters splitting a Pod could in theory cover a full 200-property route between them — with Apprentices filling the rest. Numbers are illustrative targets; actual routing and pay set in the role agreement.

Helmet to helmet

Crews recruit crews.

Union halls, station lounges, and department training days are where this network grows. We're not buying ads — we're designing for word-of-mouth between people who already trust each other.

Department-friendly

No conflict with public service.

The cooperative explicitly does not bid on public-safety contracts. Off-duty work here doesn't compete with your department's mission, contracts, or chain of command. Check your department's secondary-employment policy; we'll meet whatever it requires.

Get on the list

Tell us your shift schedule.

Pre-launch — no money is being collected, no offer is being made. We're documenting interest so the first Pods get scoped to the people who actually want to run them.

Pre-launch — illustrative only. Every dollar figure, hour count, off-day estimate, and department name on this page is a target or planning reference. Nothing here is an offer of employment, a guaranteed schedule, or a securities offering. Department names are listed because we are documenting interest in those service areas — not because any partnership has been formed. Apprenticeship-credit references apply to Arkansas and reprice at expansion. Check your employer's secondary-employment policy before signing on.
