The right person

A Member who uses the service and is willing to speak for other Members. Could be a residential subscriber, a school, a municipality, or a small business that buys routes. Civic-minded, not necessarily political.

How you contribute

What this seat actually owns

  • Holds 1 of 4 Class A (Patron) seats on the 9-seat democratic board.
  • Votes on bylaws, patronage allocation, pricing changes, and capital decisions.
  • Carries the customer voice into every major decision — including Hub Lead hires and the annual patronage distribution.
  • Sits on at least one standing committee (finance, membership, or operations).
  • Represents Patrons in the multi-stakeholder split (4 Patron · 3 Worker · 2 Community).

The rhythm

  • 1Monthly board meeting (≈2 hours).
  • 2Quarterly committee work between meetings.
