Member Organizer / Cooperative Education
Stipend + planned Class B seat
Runs member education, town-halls, and the Patron onboarding flow. Translates 'this is a co-op' from a slogan into something every Member can vote on.
The right person
A community organizer, cooperative-development pro, or educator who has run member meetings before — for a credit union, a food co-op, a worker co-op, a union local, or a church. Plain-language communicator.
What this seat actually owns
- Runs the Patron onboarding flow — what every new Member needs to understand before they vote.
- Hosts monthly town-halls and the annual member meeting.
- Owns the educational content layer of the public site — every page that explains how the split, the board, or the Flip works.
- Trains incoming board members on cooperative governance basics.
- Sits on the six-expert Safety Net (UX/A11y seat) for member-facing changes.
The rhythm
- 1Weekly: member-facing content; one-on-one onboarding calls.
- 2Monthly: town-hall.
- 3Quarterly: governance training for new board members.
Where this seat can grow
Stipend role with a planned Class B seat post-Flip. Long-term path: cooperative-development lead for hometown Hub charters as the model replicates.
