Runner
Target: $60K + benefits (planned)
Leads a Pod (1 Runner + 4 Apprentices = 200 properties). Daily field work, telemetry triage, customer touchpoints.
The right person
A working tradesperson who likes leading a small crew and isn't afraid of a tablet. Could be a former landscaping foreman, a small-engine mechanic, a service-tech who has trained junior crew before, or a serious Apprentice ready to step up.
What this seat actually owns
- Runs a single Pod: 1 Runner + 4 Apprentices covering ~200 properties.
- Owns daily field execution — perimeter set-up, robot deployment, exception handling.
- Mentors Apprentices through the published competency checklist.
- Closes out the day's route in the OS so revenue, wages, and patronage post automatically.
- Customer-facing for any property where the robot can't handle the conversation.
The rhythm
- 130-min huddle and fleet check with the Pod.
- 23 hours deploying routes; supervising telemetry on a tablet.
- 31 hour with a customer on a new install or a problem property.
- 41 hour leading a skill block (rotating: maintenance, telemetry, customer ops).
- 530-min close-out; OS posts the day automatically.
Where this seat can grow
Runner is the bridge between Apprentice and Privateer. Year 1 you lead a Pod; from there the planned path is to charter your own sector as a Privateer, or step up into Hub Lead.
